ISS provides a 24 hour Airport Reception service for new international students who need help with
their first few days in Brisbane. To be eligible for Airport Reception, you must be an international
student starting a new course (not a continuing student), and have already accepted your offer to study at QUT.
The service can arrange for you to be met on arrival at Brisbane international
or domestic airport and be taken to either,
- one of the QUT designation temporary accommodation providers
- a pre-arranged homestay, or
- your pre-arranged permanent accommodation in Brisbane.
ISS provides assistance to new students who are looking for permanent
accommodation. To access this service download the Welcome

If you are interested in staying in a homestay submit a homestay application
form, fees are applicable on application.
Who is eligible?
QUT international students who have accepted their offer and are starting a new course - commencing international students.
This service is only available to QUT students, their spouse, and children. The service is not available to accompanying friends or relatives of QUT students.

Is there a fee?
The ISS airport reception service is free of charge to eligible QUT students except for English language students (ELICOS) who will be charged AUD$77 for the service.
For all other students the airport reception service is available free of charge on
the following conditions;
- that you book yourself into one of the QUT designated temporary accommodation or you have pre-arranged a homestay confirmed by ISS.
- that your application reaches our office at least 48 hours (Brisbane time) before your scheduled arrival.
- that you inform ISS of any changes to your arrival details as soon as practical.
